If you have the space and 500 bucks, why not upgrade to a 70-inch TV?Image: mashable photo composite By Leah StodartMashable Shopping2020-11-25 22:45:00 UTC 70-inch 4K TV for under $500: The last portion of Walmart's Black Friday Deals for Days features a 70-inch Vizio 4K TV for $478, a Special Buy released just for the event starting at 7 p.m. EST Nov. 25. Most of 2020 feels like a glitch that we'd like to delete from memory. But, in the spirit of being thankful, this year did bring a few good things — like the spiked seltzer takeover, Tiger King, and Baby Yoda. Thanks to large LCD sheets becoming easier and cheaper to make, 2020 was also the year of big TVs getting really cheap. Walmart's third Black Friday event of the month has a prime example: You can upgrade to a 70-inch 4K screen without going over $500. This stellar Vizio deal will be available to add to your cart as of 7 p.m. EST on Nov 25. Special Buys like this one have been made available just for Black Friday, so the price they debut at is already the all-time-low price — meaning there's no original price for comparison to calculate official savings. For reference, a similar 70-inch V-Series model is listed at $649.99 on Vizio's website, making the savings around $171.99. Looking back at one of our favorite Prime Day TV deals as well as the best Black Friday TV deals, we can see that the $478 mark was quickly exceeded once TVs grew out of 55 or 65 inches — let alone hitting 70. As of Nov. 25, the closest competitors are a 70-inch Samsung deal revived from Prime Day ($529.99) and a 70-inch Hisense deal ($449.99), which is sold out online. The V Series' IQ Active processor splashes 3840 x 2160 4K UHD picture across a screen over five times larger than a 13-inch MacBook Pro. The combination of full-array backlighting, local dimming, and Dolby Vision offers lifelike color and deep blacks to nail those tricky dark scenes that regular full HD turns into blobs.  Over the summer, Vizio rolled out the latest software update for its award-winning SmartCast platform. SmartCast 4.0 promises faster load times for third-party apps (previously the main complaint about Vizio's layout), Disney+ compatibility, and upcoming Peacock and AppleTV+ integration. HBO Max and Shudder aren't on the roster just yet, but they can be accessed through this TV's built-in Chromecast. More Black Friday deals
